Department of Fisheries Extension, Economics and Statistics
The department of Fisheries Extension, Economics and Statistics has been set up to acquaint the students with knowledge and skill mainly in the areas of Extension Education, Economics, statistics and Entrepreneurship development. The department has mandate to conduct research and extension activities for the betterment of farmers and stakeholders.
Education
Undergraduate course of B.F.Sc. as per the ICAR norms (V Dean Committee recommendations)
Activities
- To conduct outreach programmes such as Training Programme, Farmers meet, Camp, demonstrations, awareness programmes etc.
- To organize or participate in the Exhibition at different places.
- Answer to the queries of farmers and entrepreneurs
- Publications in Newspaper/Periodicals/Leaflets/Pamphlets
- Compilation of Monthly report, Annual report, MAFSU News Letter at regular interval
